Ever spent five minutes staring at a blank email, trying to sound professional but not stiff? It's a common struggle for English learners. Finding the right words can be tricky, especially when cultural differences make a direct translation sound rude.

Today, I want to give you a simple tip that can instantly improve how you sound.

Let's talk about polite follow-ups. Many learners default to "I'm just following up on..." which can sometimes come across as demanding. A more polite and effective approach is to focus on being helpful.

  • Instead of: "Just following up on the email I sent yesterday."

  • Try this: "Following up on my last email. Do you need any additional information from me?"

  • Or this: "I'm writing to you again about the proposal. Is this a good time to connect?"

See the difference? This small change makes you sound confident and considerate, not pushy.

"Thanks for the tip! Since I started using these phrases, my emails are much more professional and clear!" - a happy student.
